Surcharge

A New Jersey surcharge refers to a fine you pay for traffic violations based on points accumulated during the year. You may no longer want to worry about paying in person. This is how you can pay online, among other things.

NJMCDirect Surcharge Online Payment

The easiest way to do this is to pay an NJMCDirect surcharge online. All you have to do is go to the www.njsurchage.com portal and pay.

All major credit or debit cards are accepted. The processing fees charged by banks for this type of payment are between 2-3%. Let me show you how.

  • First, go to the New Jersey Surcharge Violation System (NJSVS) www.njsvs.com.
  • On the page, you will begin to review your premium registration.
  • Choose one of the above options on NJSVS.
  • Enter the respective number and your date of birth.
  • You receive the surcharge and click Submit.
  • Now that you know what to pay, make the payment.

Appeal For MV Suspension In NJ Court

It would be best if you started your objection right away. Of course, you can appeal yourself, but my best advice is to hire an attorney to speed things up. What is the next step?

  • First, review your license suspension letter. Two things to consider in the letter are the reason and the length of the suspension.
  • Request a hearing. Submit an objection here before the lock goes into effect.
  • Participate in the appeal hearing. This must be done at the NJ MVC regional office in Trenton. You will find a hearing officer in the office. The agent does several things.
  • If you want to avoid this hassle, you can still accept the fees. I promised to show you how. This is what to do:
    • Once you have received the suspension notice, send a $ 100 restoration fee, the bottom half of the suspension notice, and the license to NJ MVC.
    • See rescission letter.

Do this before the suspension comes into effect.
